Hur det fria skolvalet genomförs kan skilja sig stort mellan olika kommuner och både aktiva och passiva föräldrar kan missgynnas. Besluten fattas oftast av enskilda tjänstepersoner. Nu får forskaren Hanna Sjögren finansiering från Vetenskapsrådet för att undersöka alla kommuner i Sverige.

While there is much research on school choice, the enactment of such allocation policy is rarely analysed. Responding to this research gap, this article investigates how local politicians in Berlin put public primary school place allocation into practice.
