Nonetheless, while Finnish teachers are positive about educating for democracy, they feel that they lack the right resources to achieve this and tend to exhibit a passive approach to participation. Angelica Granqvist är lärare i svenska och engelska vid Vallentuna gymnasium. Under de senaste åren har hon kombinerat sin lärarroll med en tjänst som kommundoktorand – och i juni disputerade hon med sin avhandling om litterära boksamtal i svenska och svenska som andraspråk.

Denna artikel bygger på resultat från ett samverkansprojekt där en högstadielärare och forskare gemensamt genomförde formativa interventioner för att undersöka epistemiska känslor – särskilt förundran – som pedagogiskt verktyg i undervisning om evolutionära processer. (pdf).

Idag saknar många elever i högstadiet och gymnasiet en grundläggande taluppfattning, vilket gör det svårt att utveckla en djupare matematikförståelse. För att stärka den tidiga matematikundervisningen har lärare i F-3 gått fortbildning om grundläggande taluppfattning och progression under läsåret 2024-25.
