Schools nationwide continue to struggle to fill teacher vacancies, and the US Department of Education's strategy has been inadequate to address hurdles to recruiting and retaining teachers, according to a report from the US Government Accountability Office.
Schools should adopt an evidence-based approach to reading instruction, educators and advocates said during a recent panel discussion held by the CPS Family Dyslexia Collaborative and the nonprofit Brightbeam.
